Jeffrey Dale Wenrich, 59 of Jeromesville passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a courageous battle with Melanoma. He was affectionately known as Daddy O, Pops, and "Uncle Jeff".
He was born April 20, 1960 in Cheverly, Maryland to Joseph and Judith (nee Skidmore) Wenrich.
Jeff graduated from Calvary Christian Academy, Class of 1978. He married the former Patricia Cobbler, known to him as momma.
Jeff was employed at the Luk Company in Wooster as a machinist for many years who will be deeply missed by his many friends. He was previously employed as a union sheet metal worker.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fast cars, NASCAR, and hunting and fishing with his family. Jeff will be fondly remembered as being a dedicated family man to both his wife and children. Jeff attended Wooster Grace Church.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Patricia Wenrich of Jeromesville; two sons, Joshua (Brittainy) Wenrich of Jeromesville and Luke (Macey) of Ashland; his mother, Judith Wenrich of Raleigh, North Carolina; his canine companion, Lucy J.; his grand animals, Chap D., Charlie Cat, Oakley, and Mya Jade; two sisters, Jackie (Steve) Foley of Trinity, North Carolina and Julie (Robert) Brown of Wake Forest, North Carolina; four sisters-in-law, Bobbie (Steve aka Riding Partner) Chokenea of Polk, Irene (Mark) Kinsey of Jeromesville, Nikki Cline of Ashland and Dawn Gear of Mansfield; two mothers-in-law, Vicki L. Cobbler aka "Grandma" of Polk and Cindy Baum of Jeromesville; and a father-in-law, Gerry Baum of Brewster; his nieces and nephews, Jake Foley, Patrick and Laura Foley, Hunter Brown, Jason Brown, Jeremy Hiller and Carrie Roberts, Tammy and Chad Berg, Rachel and Martin Mofield, Jon Hiller, Taylor Kinsey, Mandi Kinsey and Dakota Claypool, Kaylei Chokenea, Ashlee and Dawson Bunger, Colton Cobbler and Rose Crossen, and Ridge Cline; great nieces and nephews, Jaycee Hiller, Kailee Berg, Chayacelyn, Avalyn, Ryzlyn Mofield, and Baisley Bunger; and his aunts and uncles, Wayne Wilfong, Bruce (Gayle) Glenn, Jimmy (Pat) Skidmore, and Chuck Gibbs.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Joseph O. Wenrich who passed away, Aug. 11, 2018, and his father-in-law, Robert Cobbler of Aug. 25, 1998.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Kern and Bruce Glenn officiating. Following the service refreshments will be served in the Legacy Room of the funeral home. Friends may call Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday. The family ask guest to dress as Jeff had best known them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashland County Cancer Association, 1011 East Main Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
