John Joseph Paul DiVico,

August 25, 2018

John Joseph Paul DiVico, Please join the DiVico Famiglia in celebrating, with heaven, the rejoining of the soul of John Joseph Paul DiVico, Jr., with his savior and best friend, Jesus.
John was diagnosed with stage four cancer in April 2018 and went to be with Jesus on August 25, 2018.
If we could say something simple of him and of his incredible life lived, it would be that it was a life fully lived, filled with love and laughter, and a life fully given. John DiVico was a servant.
He devoted his life to God whom he has loved and faithfully served. He spent 40 years in ministry, but never needed a pulpit to give his best message. He lived it in service to God and others. He walked along side of so many people through dark and empty places, through brokenness and loss, through sickness and disease, through wealth and poverty, the good and the bad. Because of him, untold numbers of souls have been saved. His greatest legacy, by far, is that each life that he touched has touched another, who has touched another. When souls were saved, lives changed, families healed. His treasure in heaven is rich and his soul rejoices in receiving it. His boast was only ever in the Lord, never in himself or his own abilities. He was humble. Anyone who knew him knew there was always more laughter than tears, more easy than complicated, more faith than fear, more sunshine than rain, more to be thankful for than to complain about and that every day is another chance to love Jesus better. Every day is another gift from God "from whom all blessings flow", and "I will rejoice and be glad in it".
John was a child of his great God who gives love without fail, forever and ever. Amen.
It has been an honor and the greatest privilege to have known him and to have called him son, brother, husband, father, Pastor and friend, Pappy Duck and Poppi!
John is the son of John J. DiVico, Sr., and the late Mildred Divico. He is further survived by Linda Divico, his wife and soul mate of 40 years; by his 3 beautiful daughters, Andrea Stagnaro, Alicia Divico, and Aimee Divico; his 2 sweet sisters, Cindy Caporale and Theresa Divico; and his 6 precious grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service for John from 12 to 3pm, October 20th at CrossPoint Church of God, 3066 South Childs Road, Kearneysville, W.Va.
