John Mark Kinton, 94, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born June 29, 1924, in Piedmont, W.Va., John was the son of the late Robert Kinton and Ada (Shaffer) Kinton.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his wife of 67 years, Marion Kinton. He was preceded in death by his son, Clark Kinton; son-in-law, Terry R. Bower; five brothers; three sisters; and great grandson, Ed.
He attended Hyndman High School, served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and worked on the railroad for 33 years. He attended Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, and Faith Community Church, Hyndman.
John is survived by his daughters, Florene K. Bower, Corriganville, and Lucia K. Harden and husband, Garry Harden, Houston, Texas; grandchildren and their families, Mike and Christa Bower, Terri and Jack Spencer, Treva and Todd Lowery, Andrea and Doug Vance, Mark and Crystal Harden; great- grandchildren, Alex, Aiden, Madeline, Ashlin, Zachary, Kenley, Hayla, Addison, Billy, Lindsey, Christina, and Kristen.
The family is thankful for his faithful friends, John and Edna Lee Dom, Denny Weinbrenner, and Pastor Ken Korns.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Bible Church.
Memorial services will be held at Calvary Bible Church, 13901 South Gardner St., Ellerslie, on Monday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m.
