Elaine... I’ve never met you, but John talked about you so much on our trips to Annapolis that I feel like I know you. I was an officer in the Garrett County Teachers Association and spent many hours with John trying to resolve the world’s problems - and always with a lot of laughs! He was a caring, compassionate activist and he ADORED you! He will be so missed.

This was a shock - I thought John was healthier than me because of biking, tennis, etc. Elaine, you and John are in our prayers daily. As you know, the tennis crew are behind you 110%. I'm pretty sure John and Norm are having a beer in heaven! Don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything. Love and blessings, Cynthia and Paul

I was shocked to hear of John's passing. I have always considered him a friend and really enjoyed cycling with him. He was funny and always made me laugh. He will be sorely missed.
My deepest sympathies Elaine, and I will keep both you and John in my prayers.

Our biking friend, John, was a special guy! I went on a couple of long distance bike tours with him, in Oregon and Massachusetts. He always had a smile and laugh... We will remember you John, and take you in our hearts when we go for bike rides!
