John W. Ritchie 67, of the Town of Rome, Adams County, Nekoosa, Wis., formerly of Frostburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Father John Swing will officiate. Visitation will be held at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at ritchayfuneralhome.com.
John was born Dec. 10, 1950, in Frostburg, to Earl and Anna (Spiker) Ritchie. He graduated from Beall High School in Frostburg. On June 12, 1971 he married Lucille Weber in Landover, Md. John was employed by Hoffman Trucking and Mortenson Brothers Farms. His interests included hunting, gardening and cooking.
He is survived by his wife Lucille Ritchie of the Town of Rome; two daughters, Theresa Ritchie Stortz of Nekoosa, and Jennifer (Tim) Perdew, of North Vernon, Ind.; his three grandchildren, of which he was especially proud, Kenneth Stortz III of Madison, Wis, John Stortz of Nekoosa, and Nevaeh Perdew of North Vernon, Ind.; three sisters, Carol (Wayne) Hare, Annalee Preston, and Lisa (Craig) Wilhelm all of Frostburg; two brothers, Wayne (Kim) Ritchie, and Ronald (Kathy) Ritchie both of Frostburg; sisters-in-law, Lois (William) Zygarlicke of Marshfield, Wis., and Marcella Plowman of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; brother-in-law, Peter Weber of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and by his best friend Jerry Robb of Nekoosa. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Ramona Jones and Jane Weber; and brother-in-law, Larry Plowman.
