Jordan Christopher Bishop


CUMBERLAND - Jordan Christopher Bishop, 38, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 8, 1980, in Cumberland, Mr. Bishop was the son of Dennis "Denny" Lester Bishop and Bridget Lorraine (Clinedinst) Bishop. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Reta Bishop.
Jordan was a Graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1998, where he played soccer and ran cross country. He was a former employee of CSX Transportation, Virginia Railway Express, and North Carolina Department of Transportation. Jordan attended Central Assembly of God. He loved the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing with his son, Nick, brother, Jason, his Pap and his Uncle Gary. But most important in his life was the Lord and his family.
Besides his parents, Jordan is survived by his children, who were the light of his life, Macayla Chase Bishop, and Nicholas Jordan Bishop; his brother, Jason Bishop and wife, Erin; and his nieces, Jaden, Tatum, and Emma Bishop. He is also survived by his half sister, Misty Jenkins; his grandparents, Donald "Pap" and Susan "Nan" Divelbliss; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended friends and family.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, ( on Monday, July 15, 2019, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Demers officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Free Indeed Ministries, P.O. Box 1892, Cumberland, MD 21501-1892.
