BURLINGTON, W.Va. Joseph Dwayne Johnson, 49, of Dry Run Road, Burlington, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, in Wardensville.
Born on Nov. 10, 1967, in Logan, he was a son of the late Raymond Miller and Ernestine (Johnson) Kirk. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Clayton and Ecie Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a 1986 graduate of Logan High school. He was a member of the Believers Fellowship in the Word of Love and of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He owned and operated Johnson & Son Trucking LLC and loved his career as a truck driver and riding his motorcycle, but the most important thing to him was his family.
Surviving are his wife, Lori (Inskeep) Johnson; two sons, Zachary "Seth" Johnson and wife, Lacie, Keyser and Slade Johnson at home; four grandchildren, Sophia Grace, Bentley Allen, Kensley Paige and Stetson Dwayne, Keyser; three sisters, Thea Dunford and husband, Larry, Chapmansville, Ohio, Coral Faye and husband Neil, Logan, and Tammy Lynn Spencer, Chardon, Ohio; an uncle, Douglas Johnson, Mansfield, Ohio; an aunt, Sue Dunn, Chapmansville; also surviving are his two best friends, Charles Cook and Johnny Hartman and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
