Joyce Ann Householder, 71, of Ridgeley, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at home.
Born on June 14, 1946, in Elkins, she was the daughter of the late Carl D. and Anna J. (Readd) Currence. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, David Johnson.
Mrs. Householder was a 1964 graduate of Allegany High School. She worked at the family-owned business, Ann's Custom Draperies, and also worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in medical records. Mrs. Householder enjoyed meeting with her friends at her high school reunions, sewing, gardening, spending time outdoors, shopping, and helping others.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Henry Householder; three daughters, Elaina (Johnson) Golsen, Deena (Johnson) Decker and husband, Tim, and Renee (Johnson) Wagman and husband, Mike; two stepdaughters, Pamela (Householder) Bosley and husband, Calvin, and Linda (Householder) Fox; four brothers, Kenneth Currence and wife, Judy, Jerry Currence and wife, Ginny, Robert Currence and wife, Holly, and Dennis Currence and wife, Jeanette; six grandchildren, Michael and Matt Golsen, Whitney, Wyatt, and Dylan Marker, and Dalton Wagman; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
