Karen Lee Yoder Jeffries, 39, of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017.
Born on June 6, 1978, she was the daughter of Thomas William and Kathryn (Weaver) Yoder. She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Karen was a very outgoing person and animal lover, who was a friend to everyone she met. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Karen took much pride in being a hairstylist and loved talking with and getting to know her clients. Above all else, Karen loved being a mother and spending time with her children. Her smile, laugh, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Karen is survived by her husband, Wilbert Larry Jeffries Jr.; daughter, Nevaeh Jeffries, age 10; son, Noah "Helper" Jeffries, age 8; brother, Thomas W. Yoder Jr.; her dog, Jazzy; very special best friend, Shauntae MacDonald; her nephew Jayden Nizer; niece, Onyka Crabtree; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Services will be conducted following visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Karen will be cremated following the services. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, 716 Furnace St., Cumberland, MD 21502, or to the charity of the donor's choice, in Karen's name.
