Katherine Marie Wilhelm Katherine Marie Wilhelm, 69, of Dunbar, and formerly of Lonaconing died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at her residence. Born on March 19, 1949 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late Sherman Richard Crawford Sr. and Margaret Jane (Barnes) Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her sister Betty Lou Green and infant brother Wesley Crawford.
Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Valley High School. She worked for Allstate Insurance for over 20 years and West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for several years.
She is survived by her daughter April Dawn Ildefonso and husband Edward Anthony of Charleston, W.Va.; a granddaughter, the light of her life, Eliana Marie Ildefonso; step-grandson, Brandon Edward Idelfonso and friend Leila Abdel-Hadi; step-great-granddaughter, Alathea Marie Ildefonso; siblings, Ruth Rohloff and husband Larry of Stuart, Fla, Saundra Beeman and husband Robert of Frostburg, Deborah Keller and Larry of Lonaconing, Lavona Rosenberger and husband Larry of Lonaconing, Sherman Crawford, Jr. of Lonaconing, and Lisa Brode and husband Richard of Meyersdale, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was loved and was the best mother a person could ever wish for. She loved unconditionally; forgiving of all faults or sharp words. She was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone and expect nothing in return. We can't even imagine how hard it's going to be without her in our lives now but we know she has no more aches and pains, sicknesses, or struggles. She is at rest; peacefully awaiting our reunion one day in heaven.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:30 p.m. with the Reverend Thomas Morgan officiating. Inurnment will be held Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
