Kenneth W. Martz, 58, of LaVale, entered into Heaven on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017.
Born on Feb. 1, 1959, he was the son of Samuel E. and Janet M. (Miller) Martz.
Kenny was preceded in death by his wife's parents, Dayton and Dorothy (Enlow) Savage.
Kenny was a 1977 graduate of Allegany High School. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force right after high school and was so proud to serve his country. He was stationed in Lubbock, Texas, for four years and also attended South Plains College in Texas. He was currently employed as a district supervisor for Allegany County Roads Department and had been a faithful employee for 30 years.
Kenny had a personal relationship with God. He was a very active member of LaVale United Methodist Church and served as a trustee, usher, and the ever faithful servant to God at the 8:30 a.m. service each Sunday morning. He was a prayer warrior for many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Joyce Martz; his son and best friend, Matthew W. Martz and wife, Jeannie, LaVale; and he was "Pappy" to his precious grandsons, Ryan and Shawn Martz. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Martz and wife, Tami; sister, Lisa Kenney and husband Joe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delmas and Darlene Brick, Jim and Carol Savage, Larry Ketterman, and Gary and Brit Savage. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends, especially Jim and Betty Davis.
He loved being with his family and always said he was so blessed to have such loving parents, wife, son, grandsons, and siblings. And to all those who knew Kenny, he was a "Ford man" and loved his Ford trucks and his Mercury. He was also a member of the Piney Mountains Sportsmen Association.
Friends will be received at LaVale United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at LaVale United Methodist Church on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Revell officiating. Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Military honors will be accorded by Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.

Matthew 25:21. The Lord said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of the Lord!"
