BRUNDIDGE, Ala. Kristine Ann (Pfeiffer) Growden, age 52, died peacefully in her home in Alabama on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Kristine was born on May 28, 1964, to Helen and Howard "Sonny" Pfeiffer of Panama City Beach, Fla., previously of Cumberland. Kris was a 1982 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She worked at Groshen Elementary School as a special education aide and at Pine Crest Elementary in Alabama and at South Penn Elementary School in Cumberland.
Her loving (surviving) family members include, husband Mickey Growden; sons, Michael and Dylan Growden; parents, Helen and Sonny Pfeiffer; sister, Kim (Gary) Taylor; nephew, Jackson Taylor; brother, Donnie (Reagan) Pfeiffer; mother-in-law, Kay (Stan) Robinette; sister-in-law, Betsy (Kent) Swindell; nephews, Jared Growden, Jon Swindell, Seth Swindell, and Kyle Swindell, and sister-in-law, Angie Growden; nephews, Alex and Anthony Growden.
On Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., we will be celebrating the life of Kristine at Zion United Methodist Church Community Hall on Bedford Road, Cumberland, with Jim Taylor sharing words of remembrance at 1 p.m. All family and friends are invited to share and remember her life that day. Casual attire please.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Groshen Elementary and Pine Crest Elememtary in Alabama or South Penn Elementary School in Cumberland.
