Lee Eldridge Mackereth, 86, of Cumberland, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born May 3, 1931, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Leonard W. Mackereth and Cora (Reed) Mackereth.
He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Shirley (Allen) Mackereth; brothers, Richard and Chester Mackereth; his sister, Hope Richard; and daughter-in-law, Joann (Palmer) Mackereth.
Lee was a graduate of Fort Hill High School.
Mr. Mackereth was a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was retired from Pittsburgh Plate and Glass.
Lee had an interest in antiques. He was the owner of Queen City Collectables, a local antique store.
Mr. Mackereth is survived by his son, Steve Mackereth and Linda, Cumberland; his daughter, Deborah Mackereth, Fairfax, Calif.; granddaughter, Tiffany Howard and husband, Tom; great-granddaughter, Alaina Howard. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis (Mackereth) Zimmerman and husband, Eugene; brothers, Curtis Mackereth and wife, MaryJo, Leonard "Bill" Mackereth and wife, Katherine, Clyde "Merch" Mackereth and wife, Shirley, Okey Mackereth and wife, Sandra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
