Lester V. Reall
Born on Feb. 11, 1925, in Bayard, W.Va., he was a son of the late Lester D. Reall and Lillian (DeWalt) Reall.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Maxine (James) Reall; daughter, Gail (Reall) Isner and husband, Vernon, Chambersburg, Pa.; son, Steven Reall and wife, Barbara, Telford, Pa.; son, Mark Reall and wife, Joyce, Sarasota, Fla.; daughter, Ellen (Reall) Yoder and husband, Byron, Nappanee, Ind.; eight grandchildren and spouses; 17 great-grandchildren. Lester is also survived by one sister, Darlene Abernathy, Akron, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He stated that he was blessed to have a family that loved each other and loved the Lord.
At the age of 18, during WWII, he joined the Army Air Force as an engineer and aerial gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber attached to the 15th air force in Italy. He completed 35 missions.
He worked as a cabinet maker for Harold's Kitchens and Casselman's Furniture, Penn Alps. He also made many furniture pieces for family and friends.
He was a faithful member of the Pinto Mennonite Church and served as an Elder and teacher of his cherished Men's Sunday School class. He had 37 years of perfect Sunday School attendance.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Pinto Mennonite Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at 12 p.m. with Rev. Duane Frederick officiating.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced later by the family.
