Lowell "Jay"'s Story

Lowell "Jay" John Manning, 48, of Ridgeley, W.Va., passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Born Sept. 19, 1969, in Cumberland, Jay was the son of William Garnett Manning and Brenda Kay (Price) Manning, Ridgeley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Price, Lowell and Claudine Manning; and his aunts, Lisa Gauthier and Donna Sue Price.
A graduate of Frankfort High School, Class of 1987, Jay also graduated from Allegany College of Maryland as a Respiratory Therapist. He was a former employee of Johns Hopkins Hospital and also GBMC in the neonatal intensive care unit. Jay enjoyed going to the river with his family.
Besides his parents, Jay is survived by his sister, Amy Sexton; his brother-in-law, Tim Sexton; his nieces, Grace and Abby Sexton; his grandmother, Norma Price; his uncles, John Price and wife, Fran, and Gary Price and wife, Robyn; his aunt, Nancy Twigg and husband, Sonny; as well as numerous cousins.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m., with Reverend George Harpold officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
