WINCHESTER, Va. Margaret T. Meyer, 82, of Winchester, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018.
Mrs. Meyer was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Luke, Md., the daughter of the late Francis X. McGreevy and Mary Gormley McGreevy.
She received her RN designation from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Cumberland, Md. After graduation she worked at John Hopkins and later transferred to the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Md. She later worked for Memorial Hospital where she served as supervisor of the Surgical Recovery Room.
She was predeceased by a brother, John McGreevy; and sisters, Agnes (Edwin) Schoppert, Kathleen (Ken) Riley and Ann (Joe) Pamepinto, all of the Tri-Towns area of Piedmont, W.Va., and Luke and Westernport, Md.
She married Philip J. Meyer on Sept. 20, 1958 in Westernport.
Margaret was a devoted mother and wife with hobbies of oil painting and quilting.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, David J. Meyer of Charlottesville and Michael P. Meyer of Cross Junction; and a brother, Francis McGreevy of Morgantown, W.Va.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser, W.Va., with Pastor Gregory J. Cumbee officiating.
