Mary Louise Arnold, 99, of 28 Munson St., Potsdam, N.Y., formerly of Mount Savage, went to rest on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at St. Regis Nursing Home.
Louise was born June 27, 1918, in Mt. Savage, daughter of the late John Edward and Jeannie Graham Barth.
She graduated from Mount Savage High School in 1936, and on Nov. 22, 1939, she married Louis A. Arnold at St. James Episcopal Church in Westernport. Louis predeceased her on May 13, 1989.
She was a homemaker and supported various community health groups in the Cumberland area. She also enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery.
Louise is survived by her sons, William and Sylvia Arnold of Parishville, N.Y., and Richard and Mary Alice Arnold of Cumberland; her five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Valisha Arnold, Jennifer and William Haigh, Lisa Ann and Jeffery Haggard, Erica and Brian Breighner, and Jason and Sandy Arnold; three great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Marian Hiltie, Josephine Smith, Robert Barth, Edward Barth and Carol Klopfenstein; a special cousin, Jimmy Crump; and her dear friends, Polly Clark, Chad Petrie, Mark and Angie Todd, and Shanna Martinez.
Besides her husband Louis, Louise was predeceased by a twin brother, Colin Barth; her brothers, Robert and Edward Barth; and two sisters, Agnes Smith and Jean Forbes.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, at a future date.
