CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary Lee Kneisley, 94, of Mercersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Magnolias of Chambersburg.
Born Jan. 27, 1925, in Long Beach, Calif., she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Margaret Harwood Shipe and widow of Charles R. Kneisley, who she married in 1946.
Mary Lee graduated from Brunswick Maryland High School and later moved with her family to Cumberland. A member of the D.A.R., she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
Mary Lee is survived by four children, Susan Pentz of Mercersburg, Pamela (wife of Vernon) Grant in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., Richard Kneisley of Lakewood, Colo. and David (husband of Deborah) Kneisley of Cumberland; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, Janet Titus of Front Royal, Va., Virginia Cohagen of Bethesda, Charles (husband of Jo) Shipe of Solomons Island, and William (husband of Chris) Shipe of Gaithersburg; one sister-in-law Shirley (Lee Roy) Grams of Hanover, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Willis; brother Douglas Shipe; brother-in-law Robert Kneisley; daughter-in-law Nancy Sindt Kneisley; and son-in-law Michael Pentz.
Interment will be at the VA Cemetery in Rocky Gap State Park at the convenience of the family.

The family has entrusted Mary Lee's care to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA.
