Mary (Young) Spangler, 91, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born May 30, 1926, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late W. Ralph and Elizabeth (Starford) Young.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, George R. Spangler, and three brothers, Robert, James, and Donald Young.
Mary had been the office manager for Dr. Jack Murray Sr. and Dr. Jack Murray Jr. for more than 20 years.
She belonged to First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her three sons, George R. Spangler and wife, Carolyn, James W. Spangler and wife, Sue, and Daniel A. Spangler and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Amy Chorpenning and husband, Jason, Bradley Spangler, Jason Spangler and special friend, Allison, Nicholas Spangler and wife, Lauren, Miranda Spangler and Seth Spangler; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ashlyn and Caiden Chorpenning, Abigayle, Aubriauna, Jackson, Adler, and Jaylyn Spangler.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Caroline Kelly officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
