CUMBERLAND Mary Jane Weimer, 81, of Cumberland, died Friday, July 7, 2017, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1935, in the family home in Wiley Ford, W.Va., daughter of the late Ralph Richard Jones and Daisy Catherine (Eckard) Jones.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Weimer; two brothers, Raymond R. Jones and Daniel E. Jones; and, a sister, Norma L. Yetter.
Mrs. Weimer was a graduate of Ridgeley High School and attended Allegany College of Maryland.
Mrs. Weimer was a charter member of Liberty Christian Fellowship, Cresaptown, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also belonged to Tri-State Ministry Center, Hyndman, Pa.
Mrs. Weimer loved holidays with her family! She made Christmas special every year for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Catherine Helmick and husband, Stephen, Cumberland, William Weimer and wife, Diana, Fort Mill, S.C., Debra Boor and husband, Alvin, Ridgeley, W.Va., David Weimer and wife, MaryAnn, Cumberland, and Jeremy Weimer and special friend, April Welch, Cumberland; one sister, Eileen V. Pitt, Cumberland; nine grandchildren, Kelly Osterbind and husband, Brandon, Kristen Oakley and husband, Stephen, Amy Bennett and husband, Scott, Heather Tollison and husband, Matthew, Amber Lopez and husband, Andrew, Cody, Madison and Olivia Weimer, and Courtney Weimer; 13 great-grandchildren, Sophie, William, Alexander and baby girl Osterbind; Ethan and baby girl Oakley; Emma, Lexi, and Jacob Bennett, Caleb Tollison, and, Isaiah, Mercy and Everly Lopez. She also has several nieces and nephews, as well as a "spiritual" daughter and close friend, Cindy Deneen.
Friends will be received at the Tri-State Ministry Center, 152 Hyndman Road, Hyndman, Pa., on Monday, July 10, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. where the service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. Pastor Stevie Leydig will preside at the service.
Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bennett, Brian Deneen, Cody Weimer, Andrew Lopez, Brandon Osterbind, and Stephen Oakley.
