MATTHEW M. CURRAN
CRESAPTOWN Matthew Michael Curran, 76, of Cresaptown, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at the Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born Nov. 22, 1940, in Ireland, he was the son of the late Peter Curran and Ann McDonath Curran. He was also preceded in death by his step-sons, Samuel George, and Peter George.
Mr. Curran was retired from the Baltimore Convention Center.
Matthew was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Anytime his Ravens were playing, he was always watching.
Mr. Curran is survived by his loving wife, Helen Curran; daughter, Deidra Curran and fiancé, Patty Richter, of Baltimore; grandson, Ryan Curran, Baltimore; many other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and step-children, Kathy and husband, Steve Boyd, Mary and husband, Terry Paetow, and Sharon and husband, Tracy Cain. He is also survived by his brother, John Curran, Ireland; sister, Maureen Sweeney, Boston, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Barbara McClure, Waynesboro, Pa., Patricia Jenkins, Cumberland, Debra Whaley, Cumberland, and Linda Forsythe, Rawlings; and many other relatives in Ireland. He also leaves behind his loving dog, Raven.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Tim Wotring officiating.
