Michael Jay Rose, 50, of LaVale, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his home.
Born March 12, 1967, in Baltimore, Mr. Rose was the son of the late Eugene Bruce Rose and Ada Louise (Rudd) Rose.
A graduate of Perry High School, Perry, Ga., Michael was an accomplished musician and lead guitarist with the band "Outer Limits" in Augusta, Ga. His whole life involved music. His favorite pastime was to drive around the mountains.
Michael is survived by his brothers, Bruce Rose, Perry, William Rose and wife, Karen, Knoxville, Tenn., Daniel Rose and wife, Jayne, LaVale, and Dennis Rose and wife, Mary, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his best friend, Paul Thomas, Perry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, May 5, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Wayne Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery, Fort Ashby, W.Va.
