Michael William Christopher Stallings, 35, of Cresaptown, passed away on Jan.13, 2018, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born June 4, 1982 in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of Gary and Debora (Rainey) Stallings. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Carol Rainey and Gilbert Stallings Sr.
Michael was a United States Army Reserve Veteran, and served three tours in Iraq serving in the 372nd Military Police out of Cresaptown. He was employed by the North Branch Correctional Institution, and was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles Sportsman Club. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeler riding, and being outdoors. Above all, he loved being with his children.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his daughter, Ava Marie; his son, Christopher; his brother, Gary Stallings Jr.; grandmother, Joan Stallings; his girlfriend, who was the love of his life, Holly Pierce; the mother of his children, Susan Stallings; his aunts and uncles, Carol Lynn Heckle and husband Greg, Russell Stallings and wife Deborah Stallings, Maria Stallings, Mark Stallings and wife Diane, Pete Stallings, Jody Stallings and significant other Missy, Tom Stallings and significant other Mary, Tami Stallings, Monica Davis and husband Robert, Gilbert Stallings Jr. and wife Jody; and Barbara Shaw, who was like an aunt; many cousins; and many special friends.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 11a.m. with Pastor Kevin Lamp officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be accorded by Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard, as well as the NBCI/ WCI Honor Guard.
