CUMBERLAND - Michael Ted "Fat Cat" Wines Sr., 53, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at his home.
Born Oct. 30, 1964, in Laurel, Mr. Wines was the son of the late Leonard Franklin Wines Sr., and Iris Marie (O'Dell) Wines. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junnie and Richard Wines.
Mike was an over the road truck driver for 25 years with Kessel Lumber and a fan of the Washington Redskins. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Bonnie (Hubbard) Wines; his children, David and wife, Jeanette, Cumberland, Robert and wife, Chantelle, Seattle Wash., Cassie and husband, Jason, Spring Gap, Jeremy and fiancé, Britney, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Michael and fiancée, Julie, Cumberland; and his sister, JoAnn (Wines) Weatherly. He is also survived by a special niece, Jaelyn Spencer; his granddaughter and best friend, Savanah Friend; his best friends, Art and Pete Butler; his special fur babies, Josie, Honey, Cotter, Fred, and Brady; as well as 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 14 nieces; and 14 nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, March 5, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m.
A service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Charles Riggleman and Chaplain Paul Deremer officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Zaman at the WMHS Cancer Center, a special nurse, Lori Bailey, and Hospice Nurse, Lori, for all the care given to Mike.
