Nathan "Sam" Hill, 87, of Ridgeley, W.Va., died at home Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, with his wife by his side.
Sam served in the U.S. Army, was a Maryland State Trooper, and owned his own contracting business for more than 50 years. Sam was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Manges, he is survived by his wife Jackie Hill; children, Pete and Carol Hill, Grace Hill and Peter Lawson, Kris and Paul Martin, Bruce and Dana Hill, and Cindy and Van Gaus; six grandkids; and one great-grandson.
Many years ago, Sam decided to donate his body to medical research at West Virginia University and forgo any memorial services.
