CUMBERLAND - Patricia Jean Whetstone, 86, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1931, in Cumberland, Mrs. Whetstone was the daughter of the late William Joseph Schupfer and Pearl Susan (Eversole) Schupfer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bradford J. Whetstone, Feb. 12, 2005; her brothers, Joseph and George Schupfer; and her sisters, Anna Aldridge, Angela McGill, and Dorothy Boggs.
A homemaker, Jean was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jean loved to go to bingo with her two best friends, who were also her sisters, Anna and Marge. She is survived by her sons, Bradford J. Whetstone and wife, Sherry, LaVale, M. Todd Whetstone, Cresaptown, and, William "Billy" S. Whetstone and wife, Bethany, Cumberland; and her daughters, Patricia K. Donahoe, Ridgeley, W.Va., Debra A. Strachan and husband, Gary, Ridgeley, and Amy M. Seabolt and husband, Thomas, Hanover, Pa. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Schupfer, Orlando, Fla.; and her sister, Margaret Wolfington, Cumberland. Jean also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kimberly Liller and husband, Micah, Mindy Mitchell, Jordan Strachan, Brad Whetstone, Brooke Whetstone and fiancé, Elliott Bennett, Michael Whetstone and wife, Andrea, Matthew Whetstone and wife, Johna, Tyler Seabolt, Dane Jackson Seabolt, D. Jason Donahoe, and Bailey Whetstone; and her great grandchildren, Jackie Abe and husband, Chris, Brad, Bentley, Britton, Carmen, and Ava; her step great-grandchildren, Heinrich and Lars; and her great-great granddaughter, Tia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Dec, 29, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be D. Jason Donahoe, Michael G. Whetstone, Bradford J. Whetstone, Matthew G. Whetstone, Tyler M. Seabolt, and Jordan D. Strachan. Honorary pallbearer will be Dane J. Seabolt.
