Pamela Pam Thomasina Mathews Pamela "Pam" Thomasina Mathews, 59, of Cumberland passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Devlin Manor Health Care Center surrounded by her family.
Born July 2, 1959, in Cumberland, Pam was the daughter of James Glenville Mathews and the late Margaret Elmeda (Leatherman) Mathews.
A graduate of Bishop Walsh High School, Class of 1977, Pam was a former employee of TWR Communications and Western Maryland Health System. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish. Pam enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with family.
Pam is survived by her sons, Dylan Mathews and significant other, Kayleana Brant, and Brandon Mathews; siblings, Michael Mathews, Timothy Mathews and wife, Kathy, Gregory Mathews and significant other, Mary Evans, Sharon Mathews and partner, Donna Oester, Susan Carr and husband, William, Sheila Mathews, Catherine Levi, Nancy Lutz and husband, Lou, and Victoria Stein and husband, Gregory; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com), on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family especially thanks the Schwab Family Cancer Center, Dr. Yin and staff, as well as Devlin Manor Health Care Center for all the care and compassion given to Pam.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Schwab Family Cancer Center, 12500 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland, MD 21502, Attention: Julie, Hardy.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I went to visit Pam last Sunday. She recognized who I was and told me to tell my mom and the other girls hi and she loved us. She was a big part of my life growing up and I’ll miss her. Fly with the angels Pam May you Rest In Peace.
