PATRICIA A. "PATTY"'s Story
Patricia A. (Reed) Tiller of Whitesboro, Texas, formerly of Cumberland, died peacefully at home with her family at her side on Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Patty was born, in Cumberland, on Sept. 22, 1947, to the late James A. and Regina (Felten) Reed. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Reed; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Tiller; and father-in-law, James A. Tiller Sr.
She was married on Sept. 13, 1968, to James A. Tiller, in Great Falls, Va.
Patty is survived by her husband of Whitesboro, Texas; sons, James, Michael, Richard, Denton/Dallas area; daughter, Kimberly, Whitesboro; granddaughters, Amber Tiller, Alexis Tiller, Shelbi Furche; and great-grandson, Brody Lane. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Reed, Goose Creek, S.C.; mother-in-law, Mary E. Tiller, Charleston, W.Va.; and brothers-in-law, Paul and Charles of Charleston.
A 1965 graduate of Allegany High School, Cumberland, Patty was employed by Army Map Service, Washington, D.C., for 10 years. Her family lived in Virginia, North Carolina, and settled in Texas over 30 years ago. Patty was an amazing mother, grandmother and wife to her family. Their home in Texas provided the opportunity for her to own, care for and pursue her deep love of horses.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro.
In accordance with Patty's wishes, she was cremated.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date with family and friends.
