Pearl D. (Coleman) Cook Bobo, 86, our loving and caring Mom, Grandma, Sister and Aunt, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Feb.17, 2018 at her home in Rawlings.
Born on Nov. 12, 1931 in Barton, and a resident of Rawlings for over 80 years, Pearl was a daughter of the late David Franklin and Alice Mae (Ross) Coleman. Twice married, she was preceded in death by both husbands; Maurice M. Cook in 1969 and Keith E. Bobo in 1997; two brothers, Richard and James Coleman; and four sisters, Anna Preston, Kathleen Dye, Marion Coleman and Linda Coleman.
Mrs. Bobo was a 1949 graduate of Bruce High School and retired from the Keyser Garment Factory after 35 years of service. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Westernport, where she served as the Sunday School treasurer for 52 years.
Pearl and her late husband Keith, would spend many long hours at the Dawson Bucs ball field with kids, family and lifelong friends. She enjoyed her retirement watching over and caring for her great-grand blessing, Kelley and Nick and also her fur babies, Gabbana and Nola. She will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving is her beloved and faithful son, Gary Cook and wife Renee of Westernport; the joy of her life, her grandson, Greg Cook and wife Bobbie Kaye of Rawlings; her retirement blessings, her great-grandchildren, Kelley Michelle and Nickolas Keith Cook; her step-grandchildren, Jessica Harris, Jeremy Metz and Alex Metz; a very special nephew who she helped to raise, Jim Cook; her dear sister, Laurie Dennis; and sister-in-law, Clara Coleman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. with the Reverend George Rosedale officiating.
Interment will be in the Dawson Cemetery, Dawson, Md.
