Pearl Leona (Wiland) Wampler, 79, of Frostburg, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 7, 1938, in New Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Harrison and Lucy Arnold (Martin) Wiland. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Bobby Wiland; one sister, Hazel Rounds; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Pearl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and babysitter. She was a member of God's Ark of Safety, Frostburg, and previously worked for Ames. She volunteered at the Ship Program, Frostburg, and walked for March of Dimes and Relay for Life. Pearl was a patient at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Frostburg.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Darrel Junior Wampler; two daughters, Wilma Jean Lough and husband, James G., Keyser, W.Va.; Donna Darlene Snyder and husband, Randy, Eckhart; two grandchildren, Heather Lynne Arnold and husband, Jordan, and Tyler Dale Snyder; two step-grandchildren, Robin (Lough) Yost and husband, Steve, and Tyler Jordon Pryor and wife, Carly; two step-great grandchildren, Zane and Abby Arnold; children of her heart, who she considered her own, Vikki, Ja'ime and Justyn McFarland; Chuck and Linda Eberly and their daughter, Katie Jo Claire; two step-granddaughters; six step-great grandchildren; four step-great-great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Wiland, Frostburg; two sisters, Helena Crowe, Finzel, and Shirley Perdew and husband, Stan, LaVale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at God's Ark of Safety, 18606 Cherry Lane, Frostburg, on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be in God's Ark of Safety on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Everett Spence officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.
