Percy A. "P.A." Redman II, 54, of Piedmont, W.Va., died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
Born on Sept. 29, 1962, at Petersburg, he was a son of Percy A. Redman Sr. of Petersburg, and Louise Elizabeth (Redman) Gilmore of Piedmont.
P.A. was a 1981 graduate of Keyser High School and attended Salem State College in Salem. During his high school career, he excelled in both basketball and track and loved his Elvis Presley music. He was a big-hearted person who would do anything for anyone, but never got that back in return.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his brothers and sisters, James E. Gilmore Jr. and wife, Chris, of Cumberland, Antonio Gilmore and wife, Nancy, of Clarksville, Tenn., Brian Redman and wife, April, of Piedmont, Tracy Gilmore and wife, Rhonda, of Westminister, Calif., Tresa A. Caffee of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kimberly M. Young of Mississippi and Ressie Bruce and husband, Mark, of Keyser; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Darnell Allen officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
