Ralph M. Buser Jr., 92, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born Sept. 19, 1925, in Williamsport, Mr. Buser was the son of the late Ralph Merle Buser, Sr., and Nannie Izora (Twigg) Buser. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Buser.
A United States Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War, Ralph retired from the Allegany County Transit Authority. He was a former employee of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. He was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church of Potomac Park formerly the Potomac Park United Methodist Church where he served as Chairman of the Board for many years; the Queen City Lodge #131 A.F.&A.M.; the Ali Ghan Shrine Club; the Scottish Rite; and the York Rite. Ralph was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing golf.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 72 years, Erma Buser; his son, R. Jeffrey Buser and wife, Heidi; his brother, Donald F. Buser, Flintstone; and his sister, Dessie Moxley, West Friendship, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. The Queen City Lodge #131 A.F.&A.M., will conduct a service at 3:30 p.m.
A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Lisa Boone officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
