MIDDLETOWN Beloved Rhonda Lynn Neahusan, 52, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 13, 2017 surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was the wife of Troy Neahusan, her husband of 31 years.
Rhonda grew up in Cumberland, the daughter of Carol Horn and stepdaughter of Ronald Horn. She graduated from Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind. with a Nursing degree, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital since 1989. She spent many years working in the ER and was currently working at FMH Crestwood Women's Imaging Center. She enjoyed hiking and biking, and loved spending time with her family. She volunteered her time mentoring students from the Grace Community Church youth group. She was known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies, which she gave away generously. Her radiant smile and joyful laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and found her strength from the Lord throughout her battle with cancer.
In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Rhonda is survived by three children, Jared, Joshua, and Emma; a daughter-in-law, Kayla; three sisters, Johnna Shreve, Donna Immel, and Sonya Merritt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, John Hanekamp.
Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Grace Community Church, 5102 Old National Pike, Frederick, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017.
Procession and interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Community Church at the above address.
