Richard J. Noreikis, Born in 1938, in Chicago, after graduating from university, and spending some time in the Peace Corps, Richard devoted 13 years serving with C.A.R.E., the international aid and development non-government organization. He was assigned to Vietnam in 1967, followed by assignments throughout Asia, Africa, and Central America, coordinating emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters attempting to rebuild their lives.
Richard is survived by his wife, Norma, and his two sons from a previous marriage, Justin in Singapore and Jason in London; and by two daughters, Graziana and Ana, and a son, Lorenzo in this country. His brother, Chester, lives in Lincoln City, Ore.
A memorial service will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church,100 Welsh Park Drive, Rockville Thursday, June 29, 2017. at 11 a.m.
