Robin Lynne Hughes of Ridgeley, W.Va., died of complications from diabetes on Friday, May 12, 2017, at home.
Born May 4, 1953, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Thelma J. Clayton, Fort Ashby, and the late Willis E. Clayton.
She was a graduate of Fort Ashby High School and Tidewater Community College.
Robin was employed at Bank of America as a program analyst.
She was a member of Annunciation of Our Lord Catholic Church in Fort Ashby.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joseph A. Hughes; sons, Brent O. Hughes and wife, Marcia, and Brett E. Hughes and wife, Janet, all of Virginia Beach, Va.; stepsons, Joseph A. Hughes Jr. and wife, Donisa, Newport, Maine, Oscar U. Hughes, Milbridge, Maine, and Michael Vane, Harrison, Maine; siblings, Michele Martz and husband, Doug, Fort Ashby, Mark Clayton and wife, Fay, Fort Ashby, and Mary Ann Grose and husband, Myrle, Ridgeley; grandchildren, Breanna Hughes, Cullan Hughes, Heather Hughes, Meghan Hughes, Ben Hughes, Jennifer Cross, and Joey Mcknown. She also had a special nephew and niece whom she loved like her own grandchildren, Garrett and Kayla Grose, as well as Nicholas Smith, Bethany Clayton and Dustin, Destinee, and Darian Martz.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. A vigil will be held at the funeral home at 7:15 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Annunciation of Our Lord Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Lecias as celebrant.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
