Ronald R. Pearce, 59, of Westernport, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, after a difficult battle with cancer.
He was born in Cumberland on May 16, 1958, the son of Billy D. Pearce of Westernport and the late Shirley (Barnard) Pearce. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lura (Pearce) Saville; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Ron was a 1976 graduate of Bruce High School. He worked for Anchor Glass Container, B & B Concrete and was currently employed at Automated Packaging. He loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling and Chevrolets.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Karen (Clark) Pearce; a daughter, Jennifer Smith and husband, Josh, of Westernport; a son, Jacob Pearce of Luke; his favorite grandson, Carson; and his dog, Henry. He is also survived by a brother, Tony Pearce of Westernport; a brother-in-law, Harold Clark and wife, Kim, of Keyser, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Clark) Riggleman and husband, David, of Westernport; his uncles, Robert Pearce and wife, Joann, of Westernport, and Otho Barnard and wife, Flo, of Florida; numerous nieces, nephew; and his mother-in-law, Betty Clark of Westernport.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Morris officiating.
Interment will be in Turner Cemetery, Walnut Bottom Road, Swanton.
