Royce G. Riley, 65, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 1, 1952, in Cumberland, Mr. Riley was the son of the late Gerald Riley and Barbara (Groves) Riley Combs. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Riley; and his stepfather,Bill Combs.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Royce was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from CSX Railroad. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore orioles Fan. Royce played in the Cumberland Slo-Pitch League.
Royce is survived by his brother, Terrence "Evel" Riley and companion, Carol Yonker, Cumberland; and his half-brothers, Matt Combs of N.C., and David Combs, Hagerstown; and his best friend, Shirley Bittner.
A committal service will be conducted at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 10 a.m., with Chaplain James King officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
