Ruth K. Wilson, 89, formerly of Westernport, and most recently of Frostburg Village, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the nursing home.
Born May 24, 1928, in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Martha (Bradley) Kyle. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Wilson; seven brothers, Ernie, Harrison, Richard, Jimmy, Clarence, Melvin and Floyd Kyle; and four sisters, Emily Inskeep, Ella Spiker Mixon, Mary Robertson and Dora Wilson.
Ruth was a 1947 graduate of Barton High School. She was an Alumni Association member and always looked forward to each banquet. She was also a member of First Assembly of God Church, Westernport, where she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. She was a very active member of the church; she loved her church and the people there. Ruth worked for more than 30 years as a custodian for the Board of Education.
She leaves behind two sons, Tom Wilson and wife, Sheila of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Mike Wilson and wife, Joanna of Westernport; eight grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Brian Wilson, Jennifer Milligan, Eric Wilson, Wendy Logsdon, Michelle Michael, Carrie Streets and Christie Wilson; 15 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Denise Wilson of Rawlings; one sister, Leona Pringle of York, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted at First Assembly of God on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills in Barton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Assembly of God, Westernport; G.A.M.E. Center; or Westernport Elementary School.
