Sandra Lee "Little Boonie" Michael, 77, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at her home.
Born July 14, 1940, in Wiley Ford, W.Va., Ms. Michael was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee "Boonie" Boone and Dorothy Geneva (Keplinger) Boone. She was also preceded in death by Joyce L. Riggs, who was like a sister to her; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A graduate of Ridgeley High School, class of 1958, Sandra was a former employee of Boonie's and the Wiley Ford Sportsmen's Club. She was a lifetime member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2883, Cresaptown.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Christina Michael and husband, David Ogilvie, LaVale, and Dianna Howard, who was like a daughter, and her husband, Jim, Carpendale, W.Va., and Jimmy Howard, who was like a grandson to her, Carpendale. She also leaves behind her special friends, Linda Riggleman, Donna Rae McKenley, both of Cumberland; her feline companion, Charlie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Chris Talley and Carla White who put their friendship, help, and love towards her.
