Scott "Scotty"'s Story
KENNESAW, Ga. - Scott "Scotty" Eugene Oster, 53, of Kennesaw, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 18, 1963, in Cumberland, Mr. Oster was the son of Helen Louise (Messick) Oster, Cumberland, and the late Milton Richard "Porky" Oster.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1981, Scotty was currently employed with Pyramid Consulting. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to drag races. Scotty coached little league baseball years ago.
Besides his mother, Scott is survived by his wife of 32 years as of Sept. 14, 2017, Sheila "Chris" (Dixon) Oster, Kennesaw; his son, Brandon Oster; and his daughter, Abigail "Abby" Oster, both at home. He also leaves behind his brothers, Steve Oster and wife, Diana K., LaVale, and Wayne Oster and Linda Mouse, Cumberland; his nephews, Greg Oster and wife, Leah and Todd Oster; his nieces, Caitlin Dixon, Aly Dixon, and Lauren Mouse; and his great-nieces and nephews, Carson, Samuel, Micah, Amelia, Azure Oster.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Denny Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
