Shirley Ann (Means) Lacy, 82, of LaVale, went to Heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 12, 1934, in Chaneysville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James R. Means and Ivy S. (Ash) Means.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Dale Lacy.
Mrs. Lacy grew up in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Cumberland when she married Dale Lacy. She raised her children in Flintstone and retired from First National Bank of Maryland.
Mrs. Lacy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cumberland. She enjoyed spending time with her family, having her coffee with Dale on the porch, and tending to her roses.
Mrs. Lacy is survived by her son, Michael Lacy (wife, Gwen) of Frederick, and daughter, Rebecca Mann (husband, Eric) of Boonsboro. She leaves three grandchildren, Jacob Mann, Matthew Lacy and Megan Lacy.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Caroline Kelly officiating.
Private interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
