Sue's Story

SHORT GAP, W.Va. - Sue Ann Brown, 80, of Short Gap, was called home to the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her husband, Fred, by her side.
She was born in Doddridge County, on Oct. 3, 1937, to the late Ross and Geraldine (Barnes) Stout. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, M.M. "Buck" Stout.
Sue worked as a dedicated seamstress at Schwab and Co. for 27 years. As a devout Christian, she attended the Romney Church of the Brethren and Grace Bible Fellowship. Sue was a kind-hearted woman who always shared a smile with everyone she met.
Sue married the late James G. McIntyre, with whom she had four beloved and cherished children, James E. McIntyre and wife, Liz, of Tucson, Ariz., Sabrina A. Wilson and husband, Ernie, of Ocean City, Thomas L. McIntyre and wife, Karen, of Cumberland, and Vicki L. Macy and husband Doug, of Cumberland. She was also blessed with her "one and only" granddaughter, Killian L. McIntyre, whom she adored.
On July 24, 1983, Sue married the love of her life, Glenn "Fred" Brown, with whom she shared 34 wonderful years. At this time, Sue gained an additional family, step-children, Twinkle E. Kirby and husband, Patrick, of Madison, Ohio, Cynthia D. Gillespie, Ohio, and Kimberly P. Kolb, Ohio; six step-grandchildren; and multiple step-great-grandchildren.
The family will welcome friends at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brian D. Moreland officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 11128 Cash Valley Rd. NW, LaVale.
Pallbearers will be James E. McIntyre, Thomas L. McIntyre, Killian L. McIntyre, Lance J. Harbaugh, Timothy F. Jackson, and Allen D. Macy.
