Thomas Lee Lucas, 76, of Frostburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at his daughter's home in Avilton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carole Elaine (Broadwater) Lucas, on December 15, 2016; two brothers, Gary and Eugene Lucas; three sisters, Sharon Miller, Darlene Porter, and Donna Lucas.
Mr. Lucas was a 1959 graduate of Beall High School. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1965. Tom worked for the Celanese Corp. for nine years and retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. after 33 years of service. He attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church.
Tom was a wonderful husband, father, "Pappy," and friend. Tom cherished his two grandsons who brought him great pride and joy. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son-in-law, Thomas Bosley, who was very special to him. He always showed unconditional love and devotion to both his wife and their two beautiful girls. His most precious times were spent with his family at home, in Ocean City, or at one of the many activities where his grandsons were participating. Tom always said, "I am the happiest man alive when I am with my family."
He is survived by two daughters, Melissa A. Bosley and husband, Thomas, Avilton, and Michelle L. Lucas, Lonaconing; three brothers, Retired Lt. Col. Ronald Lucas, Havre de Grace, Donald L. Lucas, Bloomington, and Robert Lucas, State College, Pa.; two sisters, Glenda McKenzie, Eckhart, and Carol Harper, Frostburg; two grandsons, Austin L. Bosley and Aaron T. Bosley.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kyle Durbin officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
