MANASSAS, Va. Tula Carolyn Brouillard, 86, of Manassas, formerly of Flintstone, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at Prince William Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born April 17, 1931, in Flintstone, Mrs. Brouillard was the daughter of the late Carl Jackson Browning and Margaret Irene (Beegle). She was also preceded in death by her husband, Keith Brouillard; a son, Jim Crimmins; an infant daughter; her sisters, Jackie McCartney and Jean Kimble; and a brother, James Browning.
Carolyn graduated from Flintstone High School and also Frostburg State University. A former school teacher, she retired from the U.S. Government. Before moving to Virginia, she and her husband, Keith attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and cooking.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Crimmins and Patricia Griffin and husband, Charles Snyder; her sons, William Crimmins and wife, Margaret, and John Crimmins and wife, Leomi; her step-daughters, Rebecca Dartez and husband, David, and Ann Marie Brouillard; a sister, Ruth Kimble; as well as 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St. (www.Adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
