LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. Vivian Leigh Hanawalt, age 75, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Lawrenceburg. She valiantly fought a battle with lung cancer.
She was born on March 6, 1942, and was raised in Cumberland. She was the daughter of C. William Hanawalt and Helen Hanawalt (Hersman). She was a graduate of the class of 1959 at Fort Hill High School. Vivian had retired after spending many years working for the United States Postal Service, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She was the beloved Mother of Roger Parrott, who resides with his wife, Rayna Parrott (Hester) in Sunman; grandmother of Brea and Nathan Parrott; and great-grandmother of Ayden Maguire and Riley Parrott.
Also surviving are her brother, Charles Hanawalt (Ann) of Centennial, Colo.; her nephew, Brian Hanawalt (Veronica) of Littleton, Colo.; and her niece Kelly Hanawalt Fehl (Mark), of Aurora, Colo. She also leaves a first cousin, Bonnie Keller, of Cumberland. She was a very special lady, and will be fondly remembered by all of us.
