Wanda's Story

Wanda Lee (Yost) Miller, 88, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 7, 1929, in Ridgeley, W.Va., Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Garnet M. Yost and Carrie (Moreland) Yost. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold B. Miller, 2008; a son, Robert "Butch" J. Turano; a sister, Frances Kastner; a brother, Garnet Yost, Jr.; a grandson, Anthony Turano; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Wanda retired from the Thomas B. Finan Center and Allegany College of Maryland. She was a long-time Avon Sales Representative.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Eugenia (Turano) Sills and husband, Robert, Cumberland, and Dr. Lisa (Miller) Noel and husband, Stephen A., Baltimore. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Karyn Sill Ott and husband, Brian, Baltimore, and Bryin Sills, Hollidaysburg, Pa.; her great-grandchildren, Ava and Leo Ott, Baltimore, and Robert J. Turano, Jr., Sacramento, Calif.; her devoted friends, Billy and Tina White; her pet companions, Taco and Max; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
