William A. Miller, 64, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 18, 1953, in N.J., Bill was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Giarritta) Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaretta "Jaye" (Ronnersten) Miller, in March of this year; and his uncle, Dr. Nicholas Giarritta.
With Jaye, Bill owned The Oxford House Restaurant, a venerated fine dining establishment that touched the lives of many in the community over the years. They also operated Tivoli, a favorite casual lunch café and catering business, more recently known as Sammy's, after their cherished golden retriever.
William is survived by his son, Dominic Miller Bucca; his daughter-in-law, Kathryn Roberts Bucca; his brother, Glenn Miller; his sister-in-law, Terry Miller; his niece, Michelle Miller; and his aunt, Shirley Giarritta.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral services. The family will host a private memorial service at a date to be determined. Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. is entrusted with the arrangements.
