William Joseph "Joe" Zembower, 63, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at his home.
Born June 26, 1954, in Cumberland, Mr. Zembower was the son of Mary Louise (Challinor) Zembower, Cumberland, and the late Elvin "Jake" Zembower. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Zembower; and a brother, Gregory Zembower.
A United States Army Veteran having served with the 101st Airborne and Special Forces, Joe retired as an Independent Trucker for 30+ years. He loved going to drag races with his boys and was a "jack-of-all-trades."
Besides his mother, Joe is survived by his wife of 28 years, Bonnie Zembower; and his sons, Chris Golliday and wife, Chrystal, LaVale, Brad Zembower and wife, Carla, and Shawn Zembower and wife, Ashley, all of Ohio. He also leaves behind his brothers, Christopher Zembower and wife, Brenda, and Matthew Zembower and friend, Rhonda, all of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Derek, Keaden, Casen, and Kanden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Galen Bietzel officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
