Adrian C. "Kelly" Smith, 101, of Upper St. Clair, Pa., and Deep Creek, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of Ann Blakeslee Smith, who preceded him in death in 2008; the loving father of Cary (Judy) of Salt Lake, Utah, and Ann Marie Smith of Deep Creek; grandfather of Matthew, Mark, Adrianne and Blake; and great-grandfather of Alexander, Tayson, and Logan.
He did his undergraduate studies at St. Louis University and was a graduate of the University of Alabama Law School in 1940. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Dept. of Justice, as a special agent. He resigned the bureau after the end of World War II to accept a position with Alcoa, where he served in a number of staff positions. At the time of his retirement in 1982, he was manager of International Industrial Relations and Foreign Operations, Alcoa.
There will be no visitation.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 126 Fort Couch Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241, on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at 10 a.m.
Interment will be private.
