Anne Laughlin Love, 67, formerly of Barton, Cumberland, and Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at sunset on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Anne was born in Keyser, W.Va., to the late Richard and Kathleen (Kass) Laughlin and grew up in Barton. She was a graduate of Valley High School and attended Allegany Community College and the University of Maryland.
Anne is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dr. Robert R. Love; daughters, Beth Love Wright and husband, Clinton, of Virginia Beach and Katherine (Kate) Love of New York City. She is also survived by precious grandchildren, Allison and Cole Wright. Anne had countless friends from Barton, Cumberland, Canton, and Virginia Beach. She always displayed her last name with her endless love.
Anne was president of the Bel Air Garden Club and the Ridgeley PTA and worked in the advertising field. Her passion was raising her two beautiful daughters and her devotion to her family. She was a member of the Courthouse Community United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach (corner of Dam Neck and Princess Anne roads).
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Beth Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Freedom at the Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
